Who restores and services fountains in Caledon?

Fountain Place services fountains, ponds and floating fountains in Caledon from our Markham shop. Our best-known Caledon work is the Belfountain, in Belfountain, a 1914 fountain for Credit Valley Conservation that we brought back into service with new pumps, nozzles and copper pipe throughout.

We also maintain, repair and winterize estate fountains, and install and service floating fountains and aeration for rural ponds.

Case study

How we brought the Belfountain back

The Belfountain was built in the early 1900s and carries a 1914 datestone. It was fed by an aquifer and had stopped working.

The aquifer and original pipes no longer worked, so we installed new pumps and nozzles. We used copper pipe throughout to keep the fountain’s early-1900s character. The stone was restored by Clifford Restoration.

For public safety we added engineered pedestals and fibreglass-reinforced grating. The fountain is now ready for decades more. Read the full Belfountain case study.

Local considerations

Heritage features and country ponds

Heritage fountains need work that respects their original character. We look at what can be kept, engineer what has to change and coordinate with specialist trades such as stone restorers.

Rural and estate ponds face algae, odour and muck in summer. A floating fountain or aeration system adds oxygen and circulation, and we remove and service floating fountains each fall.
