Who services fountains and ponds in York and Durham?

Fountain Place services fountains, ponds and floating fountains in Newmarket, Aurora, Stouffville, Uxbridge, Pickering, Whitby and Oshawa. Our shop is in Markham, in York Region, so these towns sit on our regular routes. We maintain, repair and winterize decorative fountains, and install and service floating fountains and aeration.

Commercial sites are usually serviced weekly or bi-weekly in season. Homeowners often choose a spring start-up, a fall closing and repairs as needed.

Floating fountains and ponds

Our York Region work includes the Super Lily floating fountain at Elgin Mills Cemetery in Richmond Hill.

Ponds that stay clear

Many sites in York and Durham are ponds rather than built fountains: stormwater ponds, retention ponds, estate ponds and cemetery ponds. Aeration adds oxygen and circulation, which reduces algae, odour, muck and mosquito breeding.

We install and service floating fountains, Kasco surface aerators and diffused bottom aeration. In fall we remove floating fountains, service them and store them until spring.

York and Durham questions

Do you service stormwater ponds?

Yes. We install and service aeration and floating fountains for stormwater and retention ponds to help control algae, odour and mosquitoes.

Should my floating fountain come out for winter?

In most cases, yes. We remove floating fountains in fall, service them and store pumps, lights and controls in our moisture-controlled facility until spring.

Can you fix a floating fountain that keeps tripping the breaker?

Often, yes. Leakage on a long cable run can trip the panel’s safety controls. We measure it, trace the fault, and repair cables and quick disconnects.

Can I bring a Kasco unit to your shop?

Yes. Drop it at our Markham shop for Fountain Depot’s Kasco repair centre, with a free diagnostic estimate and a 90-day warranty on parts and labour.
