Maintenance programs
Fountain maintenance that keeps the water clear.
Weekly, bi-weekly and monthly service for condo, municipal, commercial and estate fountains across the GTA, with a report after every visit.

How often should a commercial fountain be serviced?
Most commercial fountains need a visit every week or every two weeks while they run. That is how we maintain the commercial locations we look after. Regular visits keep nozzles clear, chemistry balanced and debris out of the reservoir, so small problems are caught before they shut the display down. Monthly service is also available for features that need less attention.
Every program starts with a spring start-up and ends with a fall closing. In between, the same crew knows your pumps, lights and controls, and writes up what they found on each visit.

Vacuuming
Why vacuuming lowers your chemical bill
Fallen leaves and grit break down in the water and feed algae. Many fountains have no built-in way to remove debris from a large reservoir, so they burn through chemical treating the symptom.
Our technicians set up custom portable pool vacuum systems, get into the pool and remove all the debris. Fixing the cause means the water needs less chemical to stay clear, which matters most after the fall leaf load.

Power washing
Cleaning that protects the waterproofing
Large fountains build up algae in spring as the concrete settles and rain pools in low areas. We remove the organics before filling, then do a full walk-through of the basin.
Our technicians are trained on the surfaces they clean. The power washer’s size, horsepower and nozzle all matter, because the wrong combination can damage waterproofing, especially on older fountains.

Landmark care
How we look after Nathan Phillips Square
We maintain the fountain at Nathan Phillips Square for the City of Toronto. Staff remove debris and check the filters and chemical systems on each visit.
We run an electrical safety test before every fill, then balance the flow for the best display. Your courtyard fountain gets the same routine.

FAQ
Fountain maintenance questions
How often should a commercial fountain be serviced?
Weekly or bi-weekly while it runs. That is the schedule we use for the commercial locations we maintain.
What happens on a maintenance visit?
We remove debris, check filters and chemical systems, apply water conditioners, clear clogged nozzles and check the equipment. You get a report of what we did and found.
Why does my fountain use so much chemical?
Usually because debris sits in the reservoir and keeps feeding algae. Portable vacuuming removes that debris, which lowers chemical use.
Can you provide reports for ministry submission?
Yes. Where a site needs them, we provide weekly reports for ministry submission as part of the program.
Do you maintain residential fountains?
Yes. We maintain estate and private garden fountains as well as condo, municipal and commercial features, on weekly, bi-weekly or monthly schedules.
Does a maintenance program include opening and closing?
It should. We start the fountain up in spring and close it in fall, storing pumps, lights and controls in our moisture-controlled facility over winter. See openings and closings.
What if the fountain breaks down between visits?
Call us. Emergency calls and service are available for clients, and because we make our own parts, replacements are readily available.
