Fountain lighting
Fountain lighting that works after dark.
Submersible LED lights designed, installed, upgraded and repaired for fountains, floating fountains and ponds.

Is it worth upgrading fountain lights to LED?
Yes, for most fountains. LED fountain lights use far less power than the halogen lights many older fountains still run, and they last longer between replacements. That means lower power bills and fewer service calls to change bulbs. LEDs also give more control over colour and warmth, so the display can match its surroundings.
We install new submersible LED lighting on restorations and new builds, and upgrade or repair lights on existing fountains.
Pembroke Centennial Fountain
Lighting matched to the town hall
When we restored the Pembroke Centennial Fountain, we redesigned its lighting along with its pumps, controls and filtration.
Four energy-efficient lights on the centre geyser were matched to the warm lighting around the town hall, so the fountain fits its setting at night. Read the case study.

Upgrades
How an LED upgrade works
01
Review what’s there
We check the existing fixtures, wiring, transformers and controls, and what has been failing.
02
Plan the look
We choose fixtures, placement and colour temperature to suit the fountain and its surroundings.
03
Install and test
We install the new submersible LED lights and run an electrical safety test before the fountain is filled.
04
Aim at night
We adjust the lights after dark so each jet and surface is lit the way it should be.

FAQ
Fountain lighting questions
Are LED fountain lights worth it?
For most fountains, yes. LEDs use far less power than halogen and need replacing less often, which cuts both power bills and service calls.
Can you add lights to a floating fountain?
Yes. We install underwater LED lights on new floating fountains and can add them to many existing units. See floating fountains.
Why do my fountain lights keep failing?
Common causes are water getting into fixtures or connections, wiring faults and old halogen lamps. We find the cause and repair or upgrade the lights.
What happens to the lights over winter?
On a fall closing we remove lights with the pumps and controls and store them in our moisture-controlled facility until spring.
Can lighting be part of a restoration?
Yes. Restorations often finish with new submersible LED lighting. See fountain restoration.
