Who services fountains and ponds in Richmond Hill?

Fountain Place services fountains, ponds and floating fountains in Richmond Hill from our shop in neighbouring Markham. Our work in the city includes the Super Lily floating fountain at Elgin Mills Cemetery. We install, maintain and repair floating fountains, aeration and decorative fountains for cemeteries, businesses and homes.

Because Richmond Hill is on our regular routes, seasonal removals, reinstalls and repair visits fit easily into our schedule.

Local project

Elgin Mills Cemetery: the Super Lily

The Super Lily floating fountain at Elgin Mills Cemetery is one of our Richmond Hill projects. A floating fountain sits on the pond with its pump under a float, powered by a cable run to shore.

In a cemetery the fountain is part of a place people visit to reflect. It has to look right and run quietly through the season, then come out cleanly before winter.

Floating fountains

Over 35 years of floating fountains

We have designed, installed and maintained floating fountains and aerating displays for over 35 years, and we are one of the few GTA companies offering full servicing. Installation includes options for controls, lights, spray patterns and anchoring.

We also upgrade older units to newer models, and we can identify and source replacement parts for the fountain you already have.

Local considerations

Keeping a Richmond Hill pond healthy

  • Aeration adds oxygen and circulation to cut algae, odour and muck
  • Fall removal of floating fountains before freezing nights
  • Winter storage in our moisture-controlled facility
  • Spring reinstallation once the ice and frost risk have passed
  • Cable and quick disconnect checks to stop breaker trips
  • Water treatments applied where aeration alone is not enough

One floating fountain we were called to had been out of service for a long time; several electricians and motor shops had failed to fix it. We measured leakage on the long cable run, traced it to a small leak in the quick disconnect and repaired it.

Richmond Hill questions

Do you service floating fountains in Richmond Hill?

Yes. We install, maintain and repair floating fountains for municipal, commercial and residential ponds, including the Super Lily at Elgin Mills Cemetery.

Our floating fountain keeps tripping the breaker. Can you fix it?

Usually. Over 5 milliamps of leakage trips a panel’s safety controls, so we test the cable run and quick disconnects as well as the motor.

Should a floating fountain come out for winter?

In most cases, yes. We remove it in fall, service it, store it in our moisture-controlled facility and reinstall it in spring.

Which floating fountain brands do you service?

We fully service Kasco Marine, Aqua Master and Aqua Control, and test and maintain Otterbine, Airolator, AirMax, OASE and Arbrux.

Can I buy a replacement floating fountain?

Yes. Our sister store sells floating fountains, and we can install it for you.
